Reels aren't the only thing that works. The Photos & Carousels tab gives your still posts the same coaching your reels get — because a strong carousel or photo can out-earn a reel on your account, and Merge follows what your own data rewards.
What's in the tab
- How your stills perform — your photo and carousel formats, measured against each other.
- Your winning photos & carousels — your top stills, ranked by views, with saves and shares called out.
- Generate ideas — fresh carousel and photo concepts (cover line + slides, or a single shot) built from your own winners.
- Cover-line doctor — paste a carousel's cover slide and get six stronger, scroll-stopping rewrites.
Why saves and shares matter here
For a reel, retention is the signal that it's working. For a carousel or photo, that signal is saves and shares — a save means someone wanted to come back to it. Design your cover and payoff to be worth saving.
- 1Open the Photos & Carousels tab (in the Create section).
- 2Tap Generate for fresh ideas, or paste a cover line into the doctor to sharpen it.
- 3Copy what you like, and tap 'mark as posted' after you ship it so future ideas keep improving.
Note · Only make reels? This tab stays quiet on purpose — Merge never pushes a format you don't produce. Tell us in your Brand Profile which formats you can make.
